When? Thursday 24 February 2022 from 5:00PM GMT
Where? London, UK
Join this panel discussion to consider the key themes relating to sustainable investment in Africa.
Sustainable investment has become one of the most important topics for policymakers, governments, investors, businesses and consumers. It was a key subject of discussion at COP26, and is part of the broader push to increase aid and development finance to Africa as it seeks to accelerate economic growth, recover from the pandemic and address the challenges of climate change.
But what exactly does sustainable investment mean for Africa? What role do international and African governments and multilateral institutions have in incentivising sustainable investment? What support and investment do African countries need to grow their economies and mitigate the impacts of climate change? What policy changes are needed to reduce perceived investment risk in Africa for international investors? What are the opportunities for private investors?
The experienced panel will consider these questions and more.
