Infrastructure in Ukraine – What Could Post-War Recovery Look Like?

War devastates entire infrastructures, economies, and societies. The recovery of Ukraine is a joint mission which will involve, among others: Governments, European Union, International Financial Institutions and the private sector. In July 2022, dignitaries from around the world convened to commit to the Recovery and Development Plan for Ukraine and United 24 initiative, with an emphasis on infrastructure recovery.

To address the possible solutions to these challenges, we discuss how to convert policy into reconstruction through this interactive webinar.

As a follow-on, we will hold an in-person event in Spring 2023 where stakeholders already involved in the Ukraine recovery mission will share their views.

Discussion Points:

– Immediate support before the end of the war– critical infrastructure

1.Energy security

2.Urgent transport / social infra construction

3.Emergency packages for Ukrainians and refugees

– Medium to long-term support (after war)

1.Reconstruction and redevelopment of the country

2.Funding and financing

– Governance & Regulatory Framework – fast tracks to be developed. Relevant issues: procurement, transparency and accountability.
