Mike has over 30 years’ experience in finance, with 20 years in infrastructure investment, across both the private and public sector as an investor, advisor and banker. Mike is a member of SIRA’s Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Stepstone, Mike was Head of Infrastructure at Gingko Tree, the investment division of the China State Administration of Foreign Exchange. Mike joined Gingko Tree in 2011 to establish and lead Gingko Tree’s infrastructure equity investment business across Europe.

Mike’s experience as an investor includes a range of sectors across numerous European jurisdictions including regulated water & energy, rail, rolling stock, renewables, social infrastructure, student accommodation, transport and ports.  Mike also sat on Gingko Tree’s Investment Committee and Risk Management Committee.

Prior to Gingko Tree, Mike worked with the UK Government advising on infrastructure investment and previously within the banking sector as Managing Director & Head of Infrastructure, for a Dutch merchant bank.
