Ian is a Director within Jacobs’ Strategic Consulting operating unit and the Market Lead for Lenders & Investors. He is an experienced leader having undertaken various senior positions within sales and operational management across Jacobs. He brings an in-depth understanding of the infrastructure market, Clients, strategic planning and delivery. He brings extensive experience of operating across Continental Europe, including business planning, sales and delivery in the UK, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain, Portugal and France amongst other geographies worldwide. He brings a forensic, analytical approach to strategy and business planning, forecasting and performance, developed through extensive experience undertaking due diligence on client business plans as well as the development and successful delivery of internal business plans. Ian is currently implementing growth strategies targeting ESG, Digital, Energy Transition and other Future Markets. He also brings experience of the development of high performing, diverse teams through the successful integration of new (e.g. CH2M) and previously autonomous businesses (e.g. LeighFisher) into Jacobs, strategic hires (including a recent recruitment drive in the Australian market), proactive inclusion and diversity, health and wellbeing, mentoring, and learning and development. Outside of work, Ian is a Parent Governor and Finance Lead on the Cliftonville Primary School governing body, a member of the Coastal Academies Trust Finance Board covering four schools in Thanet, and an FA accredited football coach at Margate Youth Football Club, working with local children to nurture talent, positive mental health and teamwork.
