How Net Zero is Changing Transport Investment
The global drive towards a net-zero society will reshape the world we live in. The required change is most apparent for the transport sector, an industry historically so reliant on burning carbon-based fuel. Albeit challenging, the shift unlocks significant opportunities to enable positive environmental outcomes whilst delivering robust returns. Infrastructure investors have much to gain from exposure to net-zero linked transport assets due to strong demand growth, reducing costs and considerable global government policy support. In this paper, Arup analyse how the energy transition will affect investors in transport and how they may best capitalise on the opportunity it brings.
