Established in 2011, the Nordic region branch features 4-6 events annually place in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm.
Topics of interest have been LNG, public sector infrastructure and Transport. In 2017 we will see events focused on Renewables and LNG, the new Norwegian roads PPP pipeline, urban infrastructure and export finance.

Senior Director and Head of Transaction and Portfolio Management
Joe Wright is Senior Director and Head of Transaction and Portfolio Management at the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB). Joe’s team of bankers execute new lending operations and manage the loan portfolio across NIBs lending business, including Corporate Finance, Financial Intermediary, Sovereign and Municipal Lending, and Project and Structured Finance.
NIB is a AAA rated multilateral financing institution with the Nordic and Baltic countries as members. It promotes sustainable growth of its member countries by providing long-term financing to projects that strengthen competitiveness and enhance the environment. NIB has project finance operations in emerging markets and the NIB member countries, mostly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Recent transactions include PPP roads in Finland, wind farms in Brazil, airports in Russia, and telecommunications in India.
Joe, an economist by training, has been working on infrastructure and project finance for 16 years, including projects in more than 20 countries. Before joining NIB he worked at the World Bank.

Peter is head of Lindahl’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice and a partner in the corporate practice..
Peter specialises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets and infrastructure projects and has long experience of advising clients and leading client teams in Swedish and cross-border transactions involving private and public companies.
He has been involved in many complex transactions in the region and Peter is frequently referred to as one of the leading lawyers in Sweden in M&A and Capital Markets and has lead transactions with a value of more than 350 bnSEK.
Prior to joining Lindahl he was at Linklaters heading the Corporate group as well as the Nordic office.

Mats Holmstrom

Global Head
Mats Holmstrom is currently Global Head of SEB Project, Asset & Export Finance.
Mats has held several different positions at SEB as Managerm Originator and Client Executive.
All prior exgagements have been in departments focusing on financing of assets, corporates and projects.
Mats has been with SEB for more than 20 years , with the exeptions of the years 1998-2000 when he worked as Sales Manager at a leasing company outside the SEB Group.

Laura Huomo
Roschier
Energy and Capital Markets Counsel
Laura Huomo works as an Energy and capital markets counsel at Roschier, Attorneys Ltd. in Helsinki. She has extensive experience in international equity and debt capital offerings, including IPOs, as well as banking and structured finance transactions, and she focuses in particular on European and Finnish energy regulation and energy sector financing. Laura has published internationally mainly on topics related to project financing of energy projects. She occasionally holds lectures in the Helsinki University Faculty of Law on collateral issues related to energy project financing. In addition, she was one of the two specialist secretaries in the committee of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy preparing the complete reformation of the Finnish Natural Gas Market Act. Laura is recognized as one of the leading experts in banking & finance in Finland by international legal directories such as IFLR1000 and Chambers Global, who describe her as a foreign expert who is “experienced in advising clients on a range of international debt and equity transactions. She has particular expertise advising clients in the energy sector.” (Chambers Global, 2015). She is nominated as a rising star in IFLR1000 (IFLR1000 Energy & Infrastructure (2015). In addition to an LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School, Laura holds an LL.D. from the University of Helsinki (topic: Project Financing of Natural Gas Pipelines – A Study on Natural Gas Pipeline Project Financing under Financial Law and Law of Security Interests). Prior to joining Roschier in 2013, she worked as a counsel at White & Case in Helsinki. She is a member of the New York and Finnish Bar Associations.

Kimmo Lehto

Kimmo has worked in various positions within the financial markets since 1988. Prior to founding of Inspira he managed the financial advisory services unit of Municipality Finance Plc since 2004. Before MuniFin he worked as an associate director with local government pensions institution Keva since 1999. At Keva Kimmo was responsible for planning and development of investment activities and the alternative investments asset class (private equity, hedge funds, project finance and other alternative investments).
During his career Kimmo has gathered an extensive experience and expertise related to financial markets along with a wide contact network of investment, M&A and financing professionals.

Fredrik Lindblom

Fredrik Lindblom is a partner with DLA Piper in Oslo, Norway, and the location head of the firm’s Norwegian finance and projects team. He specializes inter alia in project finance and has extensive experience from a variety of projects (both as lender’s and sponsor/project company’s counsel) ranging from key Nordic region highway PPPs and project finance in the offshore sector to mining/mineral commodities project financings in different jurisdictions, including emerging economies on behalf of tier 1 global institutions.
He joined DLA Piper in 2007 after having worked 3 years as in-house legal with Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) (a AAA rated multilateral financing institution with the Nordic and Baltic countries as members) in Helsinki, Finland, working on transaction mainly in Russia and CEE. Prior to joining NIB Fredrik worked as a lawyer with one of Norway’s other premier banking and finance firms.
